Patrick Sage is a registered patent attorney. Patrick’s practice is focused on advising domestic and global clients in all matters of Intellectual Property. Patrick specializes in advising innovator pharmaceutical, dermatological and fine chemical companies in portfolio development, prosecution, management, agency registration, enforcement and partnering. Patrick’s practice has a particular emphasis in advising European innovators in partnering and market entry into the US. Patrick has managed IP portfolios from development, through registration, and through Hatch-Waxman Act patent litigation.

Prior to forming Hueschen and Sage, Patrick worked as a patent attorney with the legacy firm from which Hueschen and Sage arose. Patrick began his career as a biochemist with The Upjohn Company, conducting pharmacological research on putative Alzheimer’s compounds.
